Silhill Crime Update

Good Evening,

Here is your WMnow update for what has been going on in the Silhill area since our last message and what the team has been up to.

Crime Update: 

There was a Theft From Motor Vehicle on Ratcliffe Road which happened between 03.00am 03.30am on Saturday 26th September 2026 whereby offenders have stolen parts from a Vaxuhall Corsa. If anyone has any information of CCTV please contact Police on 101 or the online chat on the WMP website quoting log 3884-26/09/2026.

There was a Interference with vehicle on Silhill Hall Road which happened between 00.01am-00.02am today Monday 28th  September 2026 whereby a male has tried the door handle on a GWM Haval which was parked on a driveway. The male was described as wearing blue jeans, very light-colored jumper under a black sleeveless Gillett. If anyone has any information or CCTV please contact Police on 101 or the online chat on the WMP website quoting log 0006-28/09/2026.

Good News:

On Sunday we conducted an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) targeted operation in support of a wider force operation. Multiple pursuits were conducted where vehicles failed to stop and were pursued, a vehicle was seized for no insurance, and intelligence led to cannabis being seized and the suspect being reported for this offence. Following recent incidents, intelligence, and concerns raised by LEOS residents, we proactively patrolled areas such as Lode Lane, Damson Parkway, Coventry Road, Warwick Road and Gospel Lane. This was a very successful operation following community concerns using targeted ANPR systems and high visibility patrols. Please continue to feedback to local officers your concerns which help inform our activities going forward.

A female was arrested on our area after being shown as WANTED for shop theft. She was taken into custody to be presented before the courts today. She has also been served a Community Protection Notice to NOT ENTER a specified area within the LEOS patch. Should she enter this area going forward, she will be arrested. We will not tolerate offending on our patch, including prolific shoplifting offenders.

We have been able to issue a further CPN to a related, and prolific offender targeting businesses in the area. This leaves us is a position where we can arrest some of our most challenging offenders on sight.

The team were invited to give a talk at Solihull School this past week to those students due to leave for university in the coming year. We address issues that were highlighted as being of concern of leavers and parents alike and were happy to help and grateful for the invite. The team were also welcome to host a Beat Surgery at Elmdon Church this past weekend. We are very grateful for all those who attended and took the opportunity to discuss any concerns they had about the local area.
